  • Sprouted pigeon peas ¾ cup
  • Medium potatoes, boiled and peeled 3
  • Medium onion, finely chopped 1
  • Green chillies, finely chopped 2
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric powder ¾ tsp
  • Fennel seeds (saunf) 1 tsp
  • Cashewnuts, chopped 2 tbsps
  • Fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped 2 tbsps
  • Cornflour 3 tbsps
  • Sunflower oil ½ tbsp

How to Make Sprouts ki Tikki (Stepwise Photos)

Method

  1. Take pigeon pea sprouts, potatoes, onion, potato, green chillies, salt, turmeric powder, fennel seeds, cashewnuts, coriander leaves and cornflour in a bowl and mash everything together.
  2. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into cutlets.
  3. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, place the cutlets in it and cook, turning sides, till they are evenly golden and crisp on both sides.
  4. Arrange them on a serving platter and serve hot.
