Heat oil in a deep
non-stick pan, add garlic, fenugreek seeds and green chilli, mix and saute till fragrant.
Add onion, mix and
saute for 1 minute. Add salt, red chilli powder and garam masala and saute till light brown.
Add tomato and saute
till it turns pulpy. Add split green gram, split Bengal gram and 1 cup water, mix well, cover and cook till both the grams are done. Add water as needed to get the required consistency.
Add coriander leaves,
mix well, transfer into a serving bowl and serve immediately.
