- Broken wheat (dalia) 1 cup
- Sunflower oil 2 tbsps
- Small onion, sliced 1
- Green chillies, chopped 1 tsp
Step 1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add onion and green chillies and saute till onion turns translucent.

- Carrots, peeled, diced and boiled ¾ cup
- Green peas, blanched ½ cup
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves, chopped 3 tsps
How to Make Dalia Upma (Stepwise Photos)
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add onion and green chillies and saute till onion turns translucent.
- Add carrots and green peas, mix and saute for 2 minutes.
- Add salt and broken wheat and saute for 2-3 minutes.
- Add 2½ cups water, mix well, cover and cook till broken wheat is done and all the moisture is absorbed.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
