- Dates (khajur), seeded 200 gms
- Beetroots (chukandar), grated 350 gms
- Ghee 3½ tbsps
- Skimmed milk 500 mls
Step 1. Heat 1½ tbsps ghee in a deep non-stick pan, add beetroots and dates and mix well.

How to Make Khajur Chukandar Halwa (Stepwise Photos)
Method
- Heat 1½ tbsps ghee in a deep non-stick pan, add beetroots and dates and mix well.
- Add milk, mix well and cook on high heat till milk is absorbed totally.
- Add jaggery, mix well and saute till ghee leaves the sides of the pan.
- Add cardamom powder and 2 tbsps ghee, mix well cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Add almonds and mix well.
- Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot or cold garnished with pistachio nuts and silver varq.
