Moong dal cooked with

- Split skinless green grams (dhuli moong dal), boiled ½ cup
- Split red lentils ½ cup
- Oil 1 tbsp
- Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Step 1. Heat oil in a deep non-stick pan, add cumin seeds, garlic, onion and green chillies and saute.

How to Make Moong Dal Sultani (Stepwise Photos)
Method
- Heat oil in a deep non-stick pan, add cumin seeds, garlic, onion and green chillies and saute.
- Add salt, turmeric powder and red chilli powder and mix and saute till onion turns golden.
- Add tomato and mix and saute till tomato softens.
- Add split green gram and split red lentils along with the water they were cooked in and mix well.
- Add sufficient water to get the required consistency and let the mixture come to a boil.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice.
