Step 1. For each portion, roughly chop 1 pear and put into a blender jar. Add 4 tbsps pomegranate pearls and blend well.

    • Fresh pomegranate pearls 16 tbsps
    • Yogurt 4 cups
    • Sugar ¾ cup
    • Round slices of pear 4
    • Fresh mint leaves 4 sprigs

How to Make Pear & Pomegranate Smoothie (Stepwise Photos)

Method

  1. For each portion, roughly chop 1 pear and put into a blender jar. Add 4 tbsps pomegranate pearls and blend well.
  2. Keep a sieve lined with muslin cloth over a bowl, put the blended mixture into it and squeeze to extract all the juice.
  3. Pour the juice into a big jar, add 1 cup yogurt and 3 tbsps sugar and blend with a hand blender.
  4. Pour the mixture into a tall glass, garnish the rim of the glass with a pear slice and mint sprig and serve.
  5. Make 3 more glasses in the same way.

Thank you for the amazing instructions.

I have success w/ my dosa but does not last long stored in the refrigerator.

Maybe I am fermenting for too long, or add the salt before the rise?

I also was wondering if it is important to blend separately or can it be blended all together?

Hi Chaitrali,
Yes, cut down the fermentation time and add salt only to the required portion at the time of making the dosa. Also storing in smaller containers just enough for a day helps. Once the batter in a larger container is disturbed (by stirring or scooping out a little etc), I feel it turns sour faster. You can blend them together if you want. But we do it separately because we want the dal batter to become fluffy and the rice batter slightly coarse. Fluffy dal batter makes the dosas light and coarse rice batter makes them extra crispy without making the dosas hard. Hope this helps
