How to Make Russian Tea Cakes (Stepwise Photos)
Method
- Preheat oven to 200º C. Grease a baking tray.
- Take castor sugar and butter in a mixing bowl and beat with an electric beater till light and fluffy.
- Add vanilla essence, refined flour, walnuts and salt and knead into a dough.
- Divide the dough into small equal portions and shape them into roundels. Place them in the baking tray.
- Keep the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove the tray from the oven and allow to cool.
- Spread the castor sugar in a plate, roll the cakes in it and arrange them in a serving platter. Serve.
