Ingredients

  • Ladyfingers (bhindi), cut into 1/2 inch pieces 1 cup
  • Oil 1 tbsp

  • Medium onion, chopped 1
  • Green chillies, chopped 2
  • Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
  • Red chilli powder ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Medium tomato, chopped ½
  • Fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped 1 tsp

How to Make Bhindi Masala (Stepwise Photos)

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds, garlic and onion and saute till onion changes colour.
  2. Add ladyfinger pieces and mix. Add green chillies, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt and mix.
  3. Add tomato, mix and cook till ladyfingers are done.
  4. Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
