  • Raisins ½ cup
  • Black currants ½ cup
  • Walnuts, chopped ½ cup
  • Bran 2 cups
  • Brown sugar ¾ cup
  • Refined flour ¾ cup
  • Baking powder 1 tsp
  • Cinnamon powder ¼ tsp

How to Make Breakfast Tea Loaf (Stepwise Photos)

Method

  1. Boil 1½ cups of water in a non-stick pan and add the tea bags. Let it brew for a while before discarding the tea bags
  2. Take raisins, black currants, walnuts, bran, brown sugar and the black tea decoction in a mixing bowl and mix well.
  3. Add refined flour, baking powder and cinnamon powder and mix well. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven to 180º C. Grease a loaf tin.
  5. Transfer the batter into the greased loaf tin, keep it in the preheated tin and bake for 40 minutes,
  6. Take the loaf tin out of the oven, allow to cool down to room temperature, slice, arrange on a serving platter and serve.
