    • Rice, cooked 2 cups
    • Oil 3 tbsps
    • Garlic, finely chopped 3 tsps
    • Ginger, finely chopped ½ tbsp
    • Medium onion, cut into roundels and halved 1
    • Green chillies, finely chopped 2 to 3
    • Spring onions, finely chopped 3
    • Carrots, finely chopped ¼ cup
    • French beans, finely chopped ½ cup
    • Cabbage, finely shredded ½ cup
    • Sugar 1½ tsps
    • Soy sauce 1 tsp
    • Salt to taste

How to Make Chinese Fried Rice (Stepwise Photos)

Method

  1. Heat 3 tbsps oil in a deep non-stick pan, add garlic, ginger, onion and green chillies and saute, stirring, for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Add spring onions, carrot, French beans and cabbage and mix well.
  3. Add sugar and soy sauce.
  4. Add rice and mix gently to prevent the rice grains from breaking. Cook till the rice gets heated through.
  5. Add salt, mix and serve hot.

Thank you for the amazing instructions.

I have success w/ my dosa but does not last long stored in the refrigerator.

Maybe I am fermenting for too long, or add the salt before the rise?

I also was wondering if it is important to blend separately or can it be blended all together?

Hi Chaitrali,
Yes, cut down the fermentation time and add salt only to the required portion at the time of making the dosa. Also storing in smaller containers just enough for a day helps. Once the batter in a larger container is disturbed (by stirring or scooping out a little etc), I feel it turns sour faster. You can blend them together if you want. But we do it separately because we want the dal batter to become fluffy and the rice batter slightly coarse. Fluffy dal batter makes the dosas light and coarse rice batter makes them extra crispy without making the dosas hard. Hope this helps
