Cabbage and carrots cooked together with
minimum masalas to a tasty finish
- Cabbage, chopped 1 cup
- Medium carrot, peeled and chopepd 1
- Oil 1 tbsp
- Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Step 1.Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add mustard seeds, green chilli and ginger and saute for 2 minutes.
Step 2.Add carrot, cabbage, red chilli powder, asafoetida and salt and mix well. Cook till the vegetables soften.

How to Make Gujarati Patta Gobhi, Gajar ki Subzi (Stepwise Photos)
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add mustard seeds, green chilli and ginger and saute for 2 minutes.
- Add carrot, cabbage, red chilli powder, asafoetida and salt and mix well. Cook till the vegetables soften.
- Add jaggery and ¼ cup water, mix and cook stirring till the jaggery melts.
- Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
