Excellent way to make kids eat bottle gourd which is a healthy vegetable

Ingredients

  • Bottle gourd (lauki), grated 2 cups
  • Ghee 4 tbsps
  • Sugar ¼ cup
  • Milk ½ cup
  • Cottage cheese (paneer), grated ½ cup
  • Condensed milk ¼ cup
  • Green cardamom powder 1 pinch
  • Almonds, chopped 3 tbsps
  • Pistachios, chopped 4 tbsps

Methods

  • Heat some ghee in a non-stick pan, add the bottle gourd and saute till it is cooked and the water has evaporated.
  • Add sugar and milk, mix and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add cottage cheese, condensed milk, cardamom powder and almonds and mix well. Cook the mixture till dry.
  • Let the mixture cool completely, divide into equal small portions and shape them into laddoos.
  • Roll these laddoos in chopped pistachios, arrange them on a serving platter and serve.
