Honey makes these katlis healthier


  • Cashewnuts 2 cups
  • Honey 1 cup
  • Ghee for greasing


  • Lightly roast the cashewnuts in a non-stick pan on medium heat. Cool completely and put them in a mixer jar and grind them to a fine powder.
  • Pause during grinding and make sure that you grind the cashewnuts to a fine powder and not a paste.
  • Grease a barfi tray with a little ghee.
  • Transfer the powder into the same non-stick pan and roast on low heat for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add honey and mix well till you get a smooth mixture without any lumps. Continue stirring the mixture or else it will stick to the pan.
  • When the mixture thickens and starts leaving the sides of the pan take a small portion and roll it into a ball. If you can roll a ball without sticking, you have the right consistency.
  • Transfer the mixture into the greased tray and spread evenly. Set aside to cool completely.
  • Cut into square or diamond shaped katlis and serve.
